Spectacular sunsets and direct Ocean Front views await you in this nicely upgraded 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo. The spacious lanai is the perfect setting to enjoy the calming waves of the Pacific while relaxing with your favorite beverage. There are 2 chaise lounge chairs available as well as a dining table that seats 4 to eat your morning breakfast. Perfect way to start your day! The tidal pools that can be seen from the unit boast many ocean creatures and is a favorite hangout for the Honu! (turtle)

The Living Area and Master Bedroom are both Ocean Front, open to the lanai and are separated by a sliding door. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors make it possible to wake up in the morning and take in the view the Pacific without leaving your King bed. The connected Master Bathroom offers granite counters and a tub/shower combo. There is an inside dining area as well as fully equipped kitchen. The additional bedroom offers 2 twin beds and there is another bathroom which has also been updated with granite counters and a tub/shower combo. There are ceilings fans location throughout the condo, in-unit washer/dryer and free WIFI.

This Resort is on world famous Alii Drive, just Desc.3 miles south of the quaint town of Kailua-Kona where you will find great restaurants and shopping. Banyans Beach, famous for its intermediate surfing, is on the south end of the complex. Kona Bali Kai has a freshwater swimming pool, Jacuzzi, BBQ area, large lobby & grassy area near the waters edge for total enjoyment near the condo.

I stayed here with my husband and two elementary school kids and had a great stay. The unit was very spacious, clean and well-stocked with the promised amenities. The overall complex was nicely maintained and cared for and the pool was a good size with plenty of surrounding chairs. While we enjoyed looking at the beach view and scrambling over the rocks to view tide pools, the sand in front of the complex was too course to work for kids sand play. We also found that the ocean was much louder that we had expected, but that was a small drawback to the otherwise great place to stay.

We rent a lot of VRBO type of homes and own one ourselves. It's hard to find a good management company, but this one is great. They stock the essentials well such as paper towels, soaps, sponge, etc. There were a couple small repairs needed and they were quick and friendly about it. The condo was very clean and well taken care of. Thank you to the owners for stocking the kitchen with everything needed including good knives, pans and tupperware. Those items are almost never in a typical rental because tenants destroy everything. The view here is the best! Even the pillows in the master are very comfortable. If I were to ask for anything it would just be personal preference items such as a queen bed instead of twins in the 2nd room and a larger frying pan. The complex recently redid the pool too since our last visit. I highly recommend this unit. I don't say that about many places. We loved our stay and I could see us coming back here again!!

The condo was a perfect spot for us to enjoy our visit to the "Big Island." Beds were comfortable, linens and towels were new, healthy assortment of appliances and kitchen utensils. Was really nice to see, and to be able to use, the assortment of beach toys - thanks, nice touch. Having turtles regularly visit the beach directly under the lanai was a thrill. Beautiful view of the ocean, daily surfers and sea turtles. Beautiful master and nice living, dining, and kitchen spaces. Pool and hot tub also. Upgrades would really be great to furniture and some attention to sliding doors and dishwasher. Date of Stay: 12/18/17 to 1/2/18

The unit is a little older, but has everything you need. Full kitchen, beach towels, picnic cooler, hair dryer, lounge chairs, extra bedding. We saw turtles right on the beach in front of the unit. Really fun to watch the surfers too. The volcano is a must. It's a drive, but well worth it. Go after dark for the best views of lava in the crater. Kona Coast rentals were great to work with too. We changed our check-in - check-out date and they were great. After we were there, we added one day and again great to work with. Date of Stay: 10/22/17 to 10/26/17

Loved the view from the lanai, got to watch the green flash one evening:) Beautiful sunsets, get to see turtles on the beach below as well! Very clean place, all the amenities you need and excellent communication with the host when needed. Plus Da Poke Shack is in the same complex a great spot for a bite to eat! We enjoyed our stay at Bali Kai 213. It was a bit smaller that other condos we have stayed in for the price but it was very clean and I liked that. The ocean area outside the condo was great and one day we saw 10 sea turtles! Kona Coast Vacations requires that you either buy damage insurance or put a $3000 deposit on your credit card. We opted for the deposit on my credit card and as of today, it has not been returned (15 days after departure and I sent an e-mail). Other than that, the condo was nice and I would stay there again. The pool is being remodeled soon so if a pool is important to you, double check that it will be available.  Date of Review: Jan 28, 2017.  Date of Stay: 1/2/17 to 1/18/17.

Excellent accommodation, new kitchen, appliances. Slept soundly to the crash of the waves. Turtles, surf, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The entire family wanted to stay longer.

Our family of four had a fantastic four night stay. The apartment is comfortable & we found it to be very good value for money. Without question, the ocean front views were spectacular... Hard to beat! If we plan a trip back to Kona in future, we will certainly enquire about a return visit to Bali Kai.
